Biggest Disappointments That I've Read

So I'm pretty sure we've all been in a situation where you're so excited to read a book, and when you finally get to read it it's just not living up to the hype. Today I'll be sharing with you the most disappointing books that I've read.

Up first we have We Can Be Mended by Veronica Roth, which is an epilogue to the Divergent series. If you've been here before you might have seen my review on this, and to put it in short this book was 30 pages of my life I'm never going to get back. If you're interested in my thoughts on it click here, but be warned, there are spoilers!

Next, I have They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera. Don't get me wrong, I really liked this book, but it just didn't live up to my expectations. I read History Is All You Left Me before reading this book and I was really just expecting something different and more than what I got.

One that I still can't get over is Caraval by Stephanie Garber. The cover was so beautiful and the synopsis sounded so good (albeit a little like the Night Circus) and I was so excited to finally read it. To me, I thought the story just wasn't good and all throughout the book I found that there was nothing that made me interested in the characters. This book was just a big let down for something I had really high hopes for.

This one might shock some people, but it's Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Everyone knows about this book, the 8th book in the Harry Potter series that had endless hype. I did like it, but the story was just so weird and it just didn't interest me like the real Harry Potter does.

Lastly, I have A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. I love Sarah's work and ACOTAR is one of my favorite series, but the first book wasn't interesting to me. I didn't really like any of the characters much and the story was a little bland in the beginning so it left me a little let down after what I had been expecting after reading Throne of Glass.

Anyway, those were all the books that disappointed me in one way or another. Do any of you feel the same way? Do you think there's some that I should've included? Let me know in the comments below!
