Most Anticipated Reads of 2019

So far there are a few books that have been announced for 2019 that I just can't wait to get my hands on. Today I'm here to tell you my most anticipated releases for this year in the order of their publication.

To start off there's only one book that has an unknown publication date, and it is Wayward Son by Rainbow Rowell, the second book following Carry On. I loved the first book in this series so much, and I didn't expect to hear about a second one, but when it was announced I got so excited about it!

Coming up soon on January 29th is the release of King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo, which I already have preordered. This book follows King Nicolai after the events of the Grisha Trilogy and I cannot wait for it to be delivered!

Going into March on the 5th is the second book in the Legacy of Orisha series, Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi. I really loved the world building and magic system in Children of Blood and Bone so I can't wait to see where the story takes us next.

On April 2nd there are two books that I'm looking forward to. The first is The Red Scrolls of Magic by Cassandra Clare, which is the first book in a new trilogy following Alex Lightwood and Magnus Bane from Clare's other books. With that is also Defy the Fates by Claudia Gray, the next book in the Constellation Series.

May 28th is the release date of DEV1AT3 by Jay Kristoff, the second book following LIFEL1K3. I don't love this series as much as the Nevernight Chronicle, but I still am interested to see where the story goes next.

On June 4th we have another Cassandra Clare book, this one being Ghosts of the Shadow Market. This will be a bind of her most recent e-novellas that are set within the Shadowhunter world.

Jumping to August 6th is The Dragon Republic by R.F. Kuang, the second book following The Poppy War. I didn't know anything about The Poppy War until the day I bought it, but it is now one of my favorite books because of the beautiful writing and the world that the author created, and I am so excited to see what she has in store next.

On September 3rd the final book in the Nevernight Chronicle is coming out, and it is Darkdawn by Jay Kristoff. I love this series so much because the writing is ao immersive and the world building is unlike any other that I've read before. I can't wait to see how he wraps up this series and what it will end with.

Lastly on November 19th is yet another Cassandra Clare book, Chain of Gold, which is the first book in a sequel series to The Infernal Devices. I loved the Infernal Devices so much and I'm so interested to see how she continues the story on while it's set a good 10-20 after Clockwork Princess.

So there are my most anticipated reads for 2019. Some of these will be bringing an end to favorite series and others will be the starts to new favorite series, but overall I'm so excited to get my hands on them.
